    This was my first book by Lyla Payne and I LOVED it. The characters are well developed and the story is well written. I was drawn into the story from the get go. I enjoyed the concept of the book. That is that Gracie, the main heroine, begins seeing a ghost. Gracie starts out the book broken and depressed and just wants to wallow. But it seems that fate has other plans for her. The problems that she is going through are real life problems and were easy for me to relate to. The secondary characters are wonderful, especially Gramps. I also loved how Beau was patient but supportive of her all the same. I felt many different emotions as I read this book. I also enjoyed the history aspect of the story that comes with Gracie learning about the ghost past. Highly recommend this book and series.
