    Not an enjoyable read at all. I anticipated getting some of Auri's back story and a glimmer into how she ended up as a recluse. If she attended the university, at least some details surrounding her departure and how/why she ended up in the underthing. Instead I got a rambling tale about her hoarding a broken gear and looking for the proper place to store/display/hide it.... total waste of money

    I read the first 2 books in the Kingkiller series and absolutely loved them. I eagerly bought this one (as it says it is the third book in the series…..). I quickly found out that Kvothe isn’t even in this story…. Im a little angry that I paid for this book without knowing.

    I enjoy this author and the story itself, however this was a bit of a cash grab. Wish I had looked at page count before purchasing, $10 for a couple of hundred pages is an outright scam. I've enjoyed the series, but this has soured me. I will not be purchasing anything again from this author.

    This book is a work of art, but I couldn't find it anywhere in print and was impatient to read it. It a great book, but it's small, and more than deserves the sliver of space it will take up in your bookshelf.

    It must have taken Patrick all of a day to write this piece of garbage. I made it to page 35 and the story was going no where. His first two books were great, this one save your money. I want my money back!!
