    I very much enjoyed this book. As a physiotherapist and endurance athlete myself, I find his book an excellent combination of narrative, inspiration and down to earth advice on ultrarunning. I initially purchased the book as an audiobook to listen to on long runs, and have since downloaded the e-version so I can have access to his great recipes. This is a must read for recreational runners as well as the elite, and even for those athletes who simply want to eat a whole food plant based diet and have no idea where to start.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which was an interesting mix of a fantastic athlete's biography, a history book about ultra-marathon running, a cookbook for eating well, and a runner's coaching book! I enjoyed reading it from cover to cover. Nice anecdotes and stories every runner... Well... Every human being can actually relate to! It was an insight into Scott Jurek's life, what drives him to run as hard as he does, as well as the realization that he is a normal human being with doubts and some weaknesses. Great book also to promote the benefits of a plant-based diet! I have tried a few of the delicious recipes myself. Well worth trying! If you need a bit of motivation with your running, as well as some advice because you are either an athlete considering a plant based diet, or someone who is considering to run your first ultra (or get better at it), then this is a very good and entertaining choice! Great summer vacation read! Martin
