    Literally one of the best books I've read in a while! I wish there was a book 3 so I can stay with these characters but it was wrapped up perfectly! The characters had growth and there was suspense drama romance it pulled you in and all you can do is hold on for the ride ❤️❤️

    The Curse is the second book in the Butterfly Effect series by the ever talented Margaret McHeyzer. It can not be read as a standalone. You must read The Gift first or you will be lost. Don't worry if you haven't read it, once you start it you will not want to stop so it will be a fast read. I am going to make this short. I will not spoil anything! The Curse starts exactly where the The Gift ended. If you read it, aren't you excited that Margaret didn't make us wait long? I know I was! Anyway...Lexi is still navigating through her ability. Testing her limits. Questioning herself and everyone else around her. To finally figure out if this is a gift or a curse. I love Lexi. She is unbelievably strong even if she doesn't believe it. She is sassy...she knows this. Everyone knows this. And it's one of the reasons why I think she is a complete bada-. As for the rest of the characters. I can't say much but I will say that Margaret knows what she is doing. Overall...I want more! Please, Margaret. If not, I will forgive you since you gave me this much already. Two books that took me out of my usual genre. Thank you! It was a wonderful and addicting experience. Quotes: “I’m not a Marvel character.” I chuckle and roll my eyes. “Again, Lexi, semantics.” He waves his hand frivolously at me. “Intimidation doesn’t work on me.” “God knows I’ve tried.”
